You hike the taxes suddenly today and short term the effect will be a higher intake for the state. Quite obvious. Two to three years later the tax intake fizzles out and our dems now "have no clue" how come.
If you are Germany today, then you add another notch to your over taxation and hope this will help to drag you out of the swamp.
That is their plan for 2007 and God help us (Europe) if that ever takes effect.
