As currencies grind and grate against each other and demands and costs shift and political effects rotate there will be a continuing move in this and that direction, each looking to raise their level as opportunities present themselves and exigencies force moves. < have been working on a big deal where the end result is that complete r&d, total engineering, and yet more manufacturing of client will be shut down elsewhere and established in brian's ancestral homeland, because the center of gravity of the entire industry has shifted and will continue to shift. >

Such a high voltage and gap is likely to lead to a spark. Lightning strikes are not good for peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, ...etc . Being an international expert on geopolitical electrical engineering and financial relativity theory, I can say that China is not in the slightest positioned to take over leadership of much of anything yet, though the trends are reasonable enough and far better than the Maoistic maelstrom of bygone egalitarianism [giggle - not for the leaders of course].
