Why do I dislike uneven taxation? Well, it skews the economy, screws future generations, creates a dangerous bubble and has environmentally turned FL into an over crowded ant hill. The later is the Environmentalist in me.

How is the economy skewed? Why will screw future generations? If Clinton's tax cut law is responsible for the bubble, why are so many metro areas unaffected? As for FLA, I'll tell you why its becoming an overcrowded ant hill and it has little to do with Clinton's tax law.........sun with the longest coastline in the country. Clinton's or no Clinton's law, FLA would become crowded.

About 20 years ago or more a lot of Californians invaded your neck of the woods, Oregon, Washington. Steps were taken to stop it. Bumper stickers like "don't Californicate Oregon or Washington abounded". Just ask your parents and some old time Washingtonians and Oregonians.

Who told you that Californians have stopped moving to the PNW? There are four major states that contribute to WA state's in migration.......the biggest is CA, followed by OR, then TX and then AZ.

As far as cap gains, Ted, should your stock gains also get a $500k exemption? If you know you would get a $500k exemption would you invest more in stocks?

The law was created to give people a retirement fund. Why you think that's terrible is beyond me.
