David Wood Named to Adaptive Solutions' Board of Directors

BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997--Adaptive
Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSO) today announced that David D. Wood has
been elected to the company's board of directors.
Wood's election provides additional management strength and is
further evidence of Adaptive's commitment to leveraging its image
processing strength to become a leader in automated data entry.
Recently named by IW Magazine as one of the most influential
individuals in the Electronic Document Management industry, Wood
is a frequent writer, industry speaker, and management consultant to
the industry. The "Exploring Electronic Document Management and
Capture" seminars presented by Wood Associates have attracted over
3500 recent participants.
In addition to sitting on the Adaptive Solutions board, Wood is a
current board member for Telcontar, past chairman of the board for
Aptus BV, and a current member of the Judge Imaging Systems Advisory
Board. Prior to forming Wood Associates in 1994, he was vice
president of new business development for Law Cypress Distributing
Co. and director of marketing for Cornerstone Imaging. In his
career in the imaging market, he has worked with a wide range of
industry participants, including Caere/Calera, Fujitsu, Ricoh, Bell &
Howell, Eastman Kodak, Fujitsu, Wang Labs, Wheb Systems, Plexus,
Optika Imaging and Anacomp.
