They view this news as as positive, and think MCI is either shutting down the Rhythms network or at the very least has chosen to rely on it much less than it has been, and will now use Covad. More specifically, they think that Verizon/MCI will use Covad to offer DSL service to businesses outside of Verizon's territory, similar to the relationship AT&T has with Covad. They do not believe there is a specific length to this relationship
