That is certainly your prerogative. But you did more than just oppose the war as unnecessary, you said it was bad, even evil. You are of course entitled to hold that opinion as well but I think you discount the good that has and will result from the war and just look at the bad, and even if the good didn't develop I don't think a failed attempt to overthrow a brutal dictatorship is normally evil, even if it might be unnecessary.

We are not fighting in Iraq to protect the US. IMO that's the only reason a country should go to war.

You keep making strong absolute statements and then backing away from them. Do you truly think that the only reason the US should go to war is in response to an attack on us or a relatively direct threat against us?
