Yes. That goes to separation of church and state. If any religion, especially the extremist part of it, gets too much power in a government, the trouble begins. In fact, it's the root of many of our greatest problems. We have that problem now with the religious right, though they were badly discredited by the Schiavo fiasco.

Only the Buddhists seem to have no trouble with anyone else. Maybe because they don't put such an importance on any single life-time and therefore divorce their egos from their religious beliefs.
