"others may classify you as a conspiracy nut because of your questioning mind "
The only reason why I mentioned that is because you once brought it up. (Please don't ask me to find the link).
" I don't have to justify my "negativity" towards Israel because there is more than enough evidence for my position."
I agree with your right to your opinions, and furthermore, I know your opinions are well researched and deserve careful consideration. Indeed, as you by now know, I share most of your opinions and outlooks.
"The West feels it and it alone has the right to have weapons and no-one else. This was exactly the fear of the Rosenbergs who gave the US atomic secrets to USSR in the 1940s and received the death sentence. Yet, their idea that the only way to "neutralise" the existing atomic weapons was to share the atomic secrets with other nations has proven correct since then."
That's it in a nutshell. It is like saying life isn't fair, and your lot is to accept a secondary role. You were born on the wrong side of the tracks, and you will never get to the promised land. There are a lot of instances in one's life when one can say it just isn't fair. As a medical man, you can surely relate to that. And in the context of nations, the same principal holds true. Indeed, life is not fair, never was under any regime, and unfortunately, never will be. That is human nature. I am not offering that as a consolation to the Arab nations, or as an excuse, but rather as an acknowledgement of reality. Just as we Canadians are playing 2nd fiddle to the Americans, and cannot hope to better them, that is the way it is. (Ask Tucker Carlson <g>).
There is a huge chasm between reality and hope. Mankind has always struggled to fulfill his dreams, despite the stark reality staring him in the face. Most of the time, the struggle has led to tragedy. That is the dilemma facing the Moslem nations. In my opinion, that is reality, today. Right now, the dream of Arab equality or supremacy in the Middle East just cannot come to fruition given the political alliances.
Life isn't fair. If it was, we would all be born with your intellect. Or Bill Gate's money. Or born white, in a rich country, rather than say black in Haiti.
"But don't think I'm a particular lover of Muslims, because I'm not" Of course, that has always been clear. You are a seeker of truth and justice, and so am I. But I doubt if we will find it here on earth. |
