12/31/2005 Why would Companies or other entities in the telecommunication industry want to license Calypso's technology?
All Companies producing products that perform the functions as described in answer number 2 would have to license the technology in order to produce such products. Examples of Companies that may license the technology include:
Cellular Phone Manufacturers: Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson, Samsung, etc.
Mobile Carriers: AT&T Wireless Services, T-Mobile, Sprint PCS, Cingular[C1] Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Vodafone, etc.
Network equipment: Media Gateway controllers, such as: Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Lucent Technologies, etc.
Operating System Software Vendors for devices such as Laptop computers, PDA's, Mobile phones such as: Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, etc.
ISP/WISP server software developers and WLAN Roaming Network software developers. |
