Received rapid reply from VP/DIR Joe Harary: Paraphrased: He'd love to give us prod. development updates except licensees "typically" reluctant to let competitors know in advance, especialy as time comes near.
Does that sound right to all? Does that hold water even re: revolutionary, patented technology? Re: new coverage, he cited recent research reports by Stearn Agee & Leach, Summit &Taipan pledges to "work hard to keep up this momentum." Also says getting better exposure in general media: Wired, Wash. Times US Glass Metal and Glazing; Film magazine (window film industry). TV: Fox Bus News ( NY, DC, Det W. Palm, KGTV San Diego, &High-Tech Shower (tech program in Japan& throughout Asia).
Re: advertising campaigns by Traditions & Gentex: "The more they spend on developing these markets for us, the better I like it."
I'm Lterm REFRman but would appreciate guidance/opinions on general parameters, if any, for non-fantasy valuation of development stage cos like REFR. What's the drill with biotechs where the hurdles are often tougher and more remote? Eg. a co I vmuch like & own like SMTG, now testing stellar whole blood substitute with est. longer timetable to market than REFR.
Good wishes to all--RMR
PS- ARCHIE, if that's you at ABTX, congrats to us both, today. |
