I deal in real life on high levels with important people who can make a difference. I often talk politics with them. I also report rightwing lies and dirty tricks to the proper authorities who can expose them.

In my own small way, I try to keep our democracy clean and honest, though the Bushie unethical mudslides are sometimes overwhelming. They certainly were in 2004. Not a single Bush ad or smear was true. Amazing how low this democracy has been dragged by the right, huh? We now have a country where he who cheats and lies the most wins. That's pathetic and alarming.

I consider myself a patriot. And I consider the truth my only real weapon. Because in the end, people do recognize the truth. It does me no good to post or tell lies. If I were to lie, then none of the truths I post or tell would be listened to. This is the opposite of Karl Rove politics where the bigger the lie, the more they tell it. That is the real evil of today's dishonest rightwing. And you see it on these very threads day after day. Here are some big lies told over and over.

- Bush has given us a great economy (deficit spending driven)
- Those who criticize Bush are against America or the troops
- Kerry attacked the troops, called them terrorists
- Kerry (like McCain, Cleland, Clark) were not real heros
- Bush was and is a hero who defends us from terrorists
- Bush can't do anything about energy prices
- There was no Bushie voter fraud in 2000 and 2004
- Deficits don't matter
- Bush should be spying on us
- Democrats are no more honest than Bushie Republicans
- Pollution creates jobs, cleaning up costs jobs
