If you shorted at the very tip top of the bubble and held on

You would be well underwater

And that is with the straight 100% fund.
If you shorted qqqq at the peak of the bubble and held on you would still have a 60% gain.

That is one hell of a difference.

Rydex funds perform well only in a long sustained trend in the desired direction.
