ok, I'll subject myself to the public humiliation again. Last year I led the contest for the first few months as my "babies" performed well. Fortunately I kept my mouth relatively shut so when the inevitable crash came, and did it ever, I didn't look even more stupid. I took huge hits on pphm, epix, nabi, idev, mogn...awwwww, I don't want to go into it.
Last year was my worst year in biotech since I started investing (a long time ago). And since I had all those stocks in my real life portfolio it was a very, very painful year. It's gotta be better this year, doesn't it???? (He said in a very prayerful voice)...
So, I have picked another risky portfolio. I own all the stocks in real life. Some have shown signs of life lately so if the market god would cooperate, 2006 just might be the year I was looking for last year.
PPHM is my love/hate stock. We will find out this year whether Tarvacin is the real deal. If it is, PPHM will be a (the?) star of 2006 in biotech. If not, I'll go back to the woodshed and bang my head on the wall.
