Once you have a HD TV and wireless and a living room PC the opportunities are enormous. My wife moans about - and cannot drive - the 4 remotes on the coffee table. With a living room PC I can dump all those. Then there's everything else that is too complicated to be driven by buttons - sprinkler system; bedside alarm; oven and on and on. Could this be the end of the flashing 12:00AM on VCRs? My one-year-old DVD/VCR automatically gets the time from a local PBS station.
