Haqi and AJ, the Herefords of old came from England and had short horns that pointed forward, horizontally. The reason the Herefords were introduced was because the Longhorns tended to be cat hammed, no meat on the ass. Now they have breeds called polled plus whatever the breed. Polled means born without horns.

Used to be a farmer 5 miles from me who'd run a couple of dozen Longhorns in the picked corn fields after harvest to glean the missed corn. I miss driving there to see those magnificent animals.
