The more you listen and read, you will be amazed. Hedge funds now account for over 1/2 the US trades and play major or controlling roles in currency and commodities markets around the world. By their nature, and because of the huge fees they charge, they seem to be need every edge possible. Those who defend their performance and want to keep the light from their operations, often talk about scammy companies but shrink when the talk switches to hedge funds that need to show substantial results to justify their huge fees.
