03-Jan-06 08:25 ET In Play Juniper Networks: Siemens may be entering the IP router market -- Piper (JNPR) 22.30 : Piper Jaffray says that according to a report from the China Business News, Siemens has signed an agreement to acquire three product lines from Harbour Networks, a Chinese-based networking equipment developer that specializes in IP/MPLS technology for $110 mln. While this report has yet to be confirmed, firm believes it will create significant weakness in Juniper's stock due to the strategic relationship between Siemens and Juniper. Firm notes that Siemens announced on Nov 11 that it would divest 22 mln shares of Juniper stock. This, coupled with the unofficial announcement of the Harbour Networks product line acquisition, is definitely sending a consistent message with respect to Siemens' future plans with Juniper.
