I have sold and given away to recyclers.

For awhile there, no one was accepting them for recycling because it was too expensive to ship them wherever they needed to be reprocessed, but that now has changed and monies are given for the core.

I remember, when I did have a car, that if you were to buy a battery at a place such as Sears, they would charge you $5.00 extra if you did not provide a battery in exchange.

I usually bought refurbished batteries with a one year guarantee from those who bought, recycled and sold batteries.
