I agree, this could be the "last chance" to significantly clean up the systems. And I'm not sure how confident I am that it will happen; you have mostly complacent, uninformed citizens, a press corp that just reads talking points from press releases, a "Republican right" and President that believes their end justifies any means, both houses of congress and the executive on the same side, and a USSC that is tilting the same direction. Rule of law is breaking down; just look at the folks on this thread that support the criminals as long as they are their criminals.

2006 should be interesting, hopefully not in a Chinese curse sort of way.
