But with only 13,800 shares traded today, maybe the spread is just an artifact of the low volume.

I might be wrong, but if the MM were trying to draw out some shares for a big order they need to fill, wouldn't they kick up the bid rather than the ask?

CGN has been basing for a couple of weeks now, should be time to start pushing upwards again as we get closer to earnings date.
