But in israel we have followership as folks in the center have supported sharon's disengagement policy enthusiasticly. Bush has dropped the ball in his ability to get folks onboard but December was the first good month for that in a long long time. Left wing security doves did themselves in by excoriating bush for his confused look in the classroom on 9/11 but then excoriating him again for taking action to stop the terrorists. A liberal or two in private has told me that they are happy about the wiretaps although they will never admit that publicly because the susan sarandons of the world who they hang out with will be all over them. Thus a significant kick in the polls for bush and a much bigger one i suspect on the local level just at the time the dems had a real chance to take the House. What idiots.
