Lot's of news about the VIA/CBS demerger today. I liked Viacom before the demerger and like VIA and CBS even more afterwards. CBS is trading at 8x EBITDA/EV and VIA at 11x per 2006 estimates. This is cheaper than most peers. My hope is that the demerger energizes management and lights a fire under their respective stocks as VIA has been stagnant for many years now.
