Actually, I'm surprised to find you counting yourself in the middle column given that you came out swinging on the negative side.

The problem is that there will never be a study done as long as people sit in the middle column waiting for a study to be done, looking for all intents and purposes like they're opposed. The only way to get serious work done on the implications of legalization is to get a critical mass of people advocating for it based on their thoughtful but less than academic processing of the factors and their energy for improving conditions. Only then can a model be proposed and rigorously tested.
