Thank you Suma. Yes, unfortunately, when it is any person in your family, no matter where in the extended family group, it is personal. We have spent MUCH time trying to understand an irrational disease, and have literally talked with hundereds of people at different levels. That's why I can only speak to the disaster that drugs and alcohol can cause if someone becomes addicted to the substances. It's hard enough if one is just a 'casual user'...then they just have the effects while they are under the influence (drunk drivers etc)....if they are addicted, the effects can be killers i.e. (addicted drunk drivers)
