Possibly, but in Canada we have the first 60 days of the year to contribute to our retirement plans and have it count towards the previous year. Each year, hundreds of millions, if not billions, of new money flows into the market.

Perhaps, the impact is not as great now, but I think it's still there.

What are the rules in the USA?
