Well a random biotech portfolio presumably has a considerably worse than 1 in 38 (if that's the current number of contestants) shot of winning here given the disadvantages you site. Anyone who cares to give me 20:1 odds against a random short 12-stock biotech portfolio winning I'd be happy to take it. <g> (The key here is the biotechs are pretty highly correlated with each other).
