You must admit jfred that looking for inflation isn't much more rewarding than looking for WMDs in Iraq.

It is now 7 years since we started scouting around looking for it and despite a good attempt during the Y2K biotelecosmictechdot.com bust, we didn't get a cascading collapse and deflation. Even the Twin Tower attack couldn't create much of anything. Nor a couple of wars. "Made in China" helped reduce inflation, but it certainly didn't cause deflation.
