Actually, I am at a loss for Fused Silica companies other than corning. My list are the lens producers like Tropel, Zeiss, and the Old PE facility that always escapes my mind.

BTW-If were to pick the ideal R&D system for getting the best performance, I would really be comparing everyone to ISI. I think the Micrascan has a tough uphill battle in the industry. Not to say they can't overcome it but ASMLF, Canon and Nikon are a formidable trio.

BTW2-on the subject of Komatsu and CYMI, please remember that neither is a drop in for the other. therefore a switch away from CYMI might require a newe type of interface between the stepper and the source. It is possible but it is a pain in the neck to do. This is not like the supposed Plug N Play of MSFT Win95 fame which never seems to work for me.<GGG>
