I ran some "consensus portfolio" numbers from the 2005 contest:

For the top picks (the 11 most-frequently selected stocks -- receiving almost 30% of all entries' funds), the return was a dismal -24.6%.

For the stocks with receiving the most funds (7 stocks -- receiving almost 24% of all entries' funds), the return was an even more dismal -32.3%.

I can post some details over on the 2005 contest thread if anyone is interested.
