On Lenox's stock price: the Secapl figures are apparently correct, as Kit has reported. Apparently someone miskeyed in wrong information late in the day and, although it was later corrected, Compuserve didn't catch the correction. (Compuserve still hasn't corrected their data as of a few minutes ago.)

At any rate the price has moved up on the bid, apparently. Last I saw (this morning) it was Can$2.10-$2.20, up from Can$2.00-$2.20. I don't think there have been any sales at the bid for several days now. Using .74 as the conversion, that xlates to US$1.55 bid, US$1.63ask.

On IGT: I used to follow that company from 1990 to 1993 or so. It had a tremendous run up. I haven't paid much attention since then, but my sense of it is that the big money was made back then and it's a pretty mature company in a pretty mature industry.

Don't know anything about MIR, but my gut feeling is that it also would fit the characterization of a mature company in a mature industry. Also, something of a boom-and-bust industry? How much more boom in gambling do you think there is? My sense is that we are approaching saturation -- just gut feeling and anecdotal evidence from random conversations.

FWIW,
-DT
