Yeah, I can't decide on vouchers. I see both sides.

If you want to send your kid to a private school that's one thing but to give out vouchers to disadvantaged kids is undermining the public school system.

Remember the Republicans are the big proponents of vouchers and charter schools. In other matters we've learned how the current crop of Republicans operates.......it wins by dividing and conquering. I think this is more of the same. What better way to do that than by giving out vouchers to some disadvantaged kids, allowing them to have a taste of private school without promising everyone the same option.

I would rather have a public school system set up where the smarter kids go to magnet schools or are in AP classes exclusively rather than siphoning off kids to the private system. Many parents would disagree but frankly, I think many of their complaints about the quality of public schools is masking another issue........the real one.......they don't want their children going to mixed race schools. And that serves no one in this society if for no other reason than we are a mixed race society.
