Dennis,

One of the better known switching methods is Don Bell's ELVE fund switching method posted in Prodigy. The ELVE is based on a 31-day EMA with a 0.007 filter. If you have TC2000, there is a TC2000 setup for ELVE in 'Fund Switching Techniques' thread, post #153.

TC2000 is a $30 software. WoW Pro is about 10 times the price of TC2000, and 10 times the power. I use WoW Pro for stocks, not mutual funds.

In mutual fund we have only the close price, therefore only simple analysis should be used. If we use complex analysis on simple data, the results will be complex but not reliable.
