Smooth, the Centrino Core Duo doesn't exactly amaze me as I haven't seen anything in the review that I think was not in line with expectations in general. Only battery life is actually significantly better than general expectations. So the best 32b-only processor just got a heck of a lot better.

More than offsetting the better than expected Core Duo battery consumption, for me at least, is this remark: ...AMD releases their dual core Turion later this quarter. That would be a heck of a lot sooner than Keith expected it (Q3 '06) which is what I reckoned with so far just to be reasonably safe. I'm hoping for confirmation of this remark from any source.

Regards,

Rink
