The Sunni and Bathist insurgency in Iraq is financed and resupplied from fellow Sunnis in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, etc.

Another falsehood.... (Here you appear to have become confused by a misreading of certain US military pronouncements.)

The US has STATED that *certain types* (of 'high tech' IEDs), have been recently used or discovered --- mostly in the Shiite south of Iraq, thus mostly affecting the British troops --- that are consistent with Iranian designs used by Iranian Intelligence Services. (This is consistent with the heavy Iranian involvement with the Shiite militias that are effectively running the south, such as the Badr Brigades and about a dozen others, and the 'religious' Shiite Parties' control over the new central government and the Interior Department's security forces....)

On the other-hand, US military briefings have CLEARLY DESCRIBED for some time now the extent of resupply and support that is afforded the SUNNI INSURGENTS by their neighboring SUNNI nations such as Saudi Arabia and Gulf Monarchies.

The US military has declared that the SUNNI INSURGENTS seem to have available to them 'unlimited resupply and financing'.

You need to get the players straight, Peter!
