Honestly, all I have to do is say the name "Bush" and some of them become hissing, spitting mad. Literally.

I know what you mean. I see it too. I just don't think it's any different from the same phenomenon that occurred not so long ago with a different crowd and the name, "Clinton," and still lingers today. I don't think it's any different from the phenomenon that continues with the mention of the name, "Pelosi."

All this venting by the Angry Left is counterproductive, but I don't think it's permanent.

I agree that it's counterproductive, probably worse than counterproductive, a dangerous sickness. I don't see how you can be sanguine about it running its course. I see a cycle of violence, if you will, that was started by Limbaugh. And I don't think it can stop until both sides realize that it's not healthy and that they are both fostering it. Thinking that it's only the other side is guilty is part of the sickness, IMO.

If by not "permanent"you mean that this particular phase will end, sure it will, because Bush holds office for only a few more years. But when that's over, will the pattern stop? I don't see what will stop it.
