I think the Bush hatred comes from the notion that the 2000 election was stolen. Many people are still convinced it was and they can't get over it. And the misguided belief that Bush is in thrall to fundies. These are people whose hair hurts just being in the same room with someone who says they're a Christian. Their hatred is a more toxic stew than the Clinton hatred was, imo.
