tgp I understand your rationale for a GM-type investment. But I'm not really up to date on all the labour issues. Also my faith in USA cars has never been the same since my first Lexus - Toyota is amazing. Incidentally, Lexus is not sold in Mexico. Here USA cars and trucks were always the presumed first-choice with Ford top of the list. The is a huge profitable trade in importing 2nd hand 10 year old trucks from the USA - if anyone is interested. But in the last few years Toyota and NISSAN have become sought after - even in the second-hand market - BMW is also big.
