I am glad that two other "fine individuals" are no longer with AMD I followed the Meretsky link and wandered over to the page about the P. A. Semi team. Apparently Jim Keller and Wayne Meretsky were coauthors of the x86-64 spec. Those are pretty impressive credentials.
