IMO, Limbaugh has done more to raise the average person's awareness of daily political issues than any of the MSM folk who will never admit to their left leaning bias in reporting.

I'm not saying that Limbaugh is all bad. I recognize his contributions. I thought I was clear about that. But it was the same Limbaugh who made it OK for average joes to shout "feminazi" in lieu of reasoned discourse and I hold him accountable for that.

Is Limbaugh then accountable for the vitriol by those who support Bush?

Not solely, but he was the key player in that trend.

As for the vitriol on the other side, yes, he was a contributer to that, too.

If you start a bad trend and people react against it in kind, you have some responsibility for it. That's not to say that others on the other side didn't eagerly join in and take leadership roles, perhaps even outdoing their mentor in vitriol, only that Limbaugh started it.
