The 40% rise of Japanese stocks last year should tell you something

The Japanese Yen devalued by about 20% last year. Therefore half the gain in the Nikkei was currency debasement.

I'd like to see what Japanese stocks do once the US is in a recession and can't buy as many Toyotas, Hondas, and Kubotas.

I agree that Japanese companies are positioned very well from a competitive standpoint. I'm not sure they completely avoid a deflated valuation if sales volumes in the US fall off.
