Phil > When one considers the sheer numbers, it is clear that a huge adjustment will have to take place.

It's going to be very hard for the working and middle classes in the West who will find they have increasingly little to offer.

> I believe a big effort is underway by the Banks to finance everything they can get their hands on. The motive is not just profit, but also eventual control and ownership.

Yes, it is a form of colonization, only this time it's with money instead of guns and missionaries, as in the past. But the "natives" are far smarter this time and they are wary of all the tricks. They'll make sure they don't part with their birthright for a string of beads.

> Democracy would be good, but not necessary as long as they are given freedom by local laws to operate in these countries.

Democracy is required only when the US needs a pretext to step in militarily.

> The money printing will simply go on and on, but the beneficiary will be Asia through foreign investment thanks to international corporations and banks.

Yes, the money printing is not making the printer of the money richer -- in fact, it's making him poorer. But he doesn't see it because he thinks he's very clever. It's like someone addicted to a mind-altering substance who believes he has created a new reality, indeed, a nirvana, for himself -- until he wakes up and needs another fix.

> This is how the New World Order is taking shape.

Maybe so, but I'm not sure that the outcomes are what they actually intended? In fact, I find it hard to believe that the balls-ups they are making everywhere are as result of a carefully thought-out strategy. Rather, I feel things are happening because people like W thought they were good ideas at the time -- and now others have to sit with the baby and clean up the mess.
