That's BS. The senate has 55 Republicans, 44 Democrats and 1 Independent. Each one of those Democrats had to get elected and used donations to fund their campaigns. Every time they want something done they pull in favors. Every time some other outside group or company wants something done they buy those Senators vacations, give them stock tips, and other underhanded favors. This Congress is slick with the grease being paid and it isn't limited to the Republicans. You can be naive about your party, but I won't leave my common sense at the door so easily. As long as D.C. continues to be run the way it is run today, politicians will continue to be the sleazy shiesters that they are.
