Maurice, since you've understood what I meant to type, you must see the contradiction in your assertion that intelligence is increasing. Poor people, who are less intelligent, have more children, thus reducing the average intelligence.

I'm taking the obvious interpretation, that by intelligence you meant average intelligence. If you meant, rather, the number of very intelligent people in the world, then I agree that that is probably increasing.

Intelligence, by the way, is an elusive concept.
