So far during this debate little has been added about the collateral damage that's being done on a continuous basis in drug producing countries. Prime example is Columbia. With illicit drug manufacturers making billions they virtually run most of the governments in South America via bribery and assassinations. I think the war on drugs also has to do with a shortage of cheap opiate based pain killers much to the detriment of poor African countries.......... Perhaps we should try and cut to the quick and make a pro and con list and then try to back up the pros and cons with facts. IMO the results would make it crystal clear what should be done.
