With illicit drug manufacturers making billions they virtually run most of the governments in South America via bribery and assassinations. It's hard to imagine what the alternative universe would look like. With Colombia's record, it might be something just as bad. Perhaps we should try and cut to the quick and make a pro and con list I've been consciously avoiding that. Laziness, maybe, or futility. <g>
