To All:

This is from this week's PC Week Nagazine:

reference pcweek.com

"All is not happy on the good ship Corel, according to Katt sources, who say the company has quietly laid off all of its senior technical support managers in Orem, Utah. Department morale is south of Antarctica. The local director supposedly told employees that Corel expects them "to work so hard during the week that you forget the names of your children." Meanwhile, sources say Corel will outsource technical support for all products except WordPerfect 7. The Softbank Services group is said to be the No. 1 contender for the business."

Has anyone ever heard of Softbank Services? It sounds like it would be a good thing to do (outsourcing tech support, saving on employee costs), but how well will they know all the products, and how will this effect the quality of the support?
