VI find it amusing that you, who don't labeling people, finds that: It's a perfectly respectable label. L:O:L!

The joke is you claiming that I don't label. I argue for labeling all the time. Labeling is a fundamental element of analysis. We could not survive if we didn't label. That's one of the first things humans did when they became human.

And yes, I do think that Bush needs to put whatever "label" on himself that he wishes...

I suppose we should leave the "cat" to select the cat label, as well... If you can't count on evangelicals to recognize an evangelical, if we need first person accounting for every label, the world as we know it doesn't work.

This whole evangelical thing was a trip down your garden path with my trying to explain logically how Bush probably said what he was said to have said given I was unwilling to spend seven bucks to get you the quote, which you probably wouldn't have accepted anyway. It was foolish of me to think logic would be effective.

What's funny about this is that it started with a poster, I no longer remember who, saying that Bush believes that salvation only comes through Jesus. And you were DEFENDING him from being accused of saying such a thing as though it were something shameful that required defense. Nice job you did of demonizing evangelical Christians, I'd say...
