4th quarter shipments of 40 tools would be exactly in-line with ASML´s own predictions. I wonder what this "...though with a higher percentage than previous quarters of 248nm KrF systems due to increased orders from foundries" remark tells us about revenues/earnings to be expected? In regard of the recent strength of ASML I am prepared to see that a mere fulfilment of predictions is bound to create downside pressure.
