This is nuts. A friend's niece, 40s, middle class, had been out and was heading to the store when she decided to go home instead. She turned on her signal 50' from her street and turned right. Coupla blocks later a cop pulls her over for not turning on her signal 100' before turning. He asks her if she had been drinking. Yes, a beer an hour ago, he writes her up for SUSPICION of driving under the influence and she blows a .01, .08 is drunk driving and used to be .12. New law is DUI is any alcohol that effects your driving, not just drunk driving. One block from her home and she can't call her husband to drive the car home, it gets towed. She gets hauled to the county jail, gets booked, charged, printed and released on a $600 bond. She went to trial and between the trial and jury deliberations it takes 5 days. Hung jury. New world.
