Recommend that every Zenith investor read Master Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". The book provides valuable insight on how this "war" is being conducted. More importantly, there are many suggestions included to help keep us (minority ZE investors) on the "winning side".

Here's my Sun Tzu scenario: On our side, LG/ZE, we have a dual leadership composed of generals from both LG and ZE. The opposition, for simplicity sake, we'll call it "Sony".

The LG/ZE army is composed of all the officers, managers and employees within LG and ZE. The reserves are financial partners of LG and ZE. We minority shareholders can be considered as long-time financial backers of the ZE army, a very loyal lot (in fact, many of the 12,000 ZE investors have been with Zenith for several decades and have their future retirement plans placed in the hands and wit of the generals).

The war against "Sony" will be fought primarily through deception and intrigue. Nothing is what it seems. Sony makes the first move by adding Philips and Microsoft armies to its reserves. LG/ZE stealthly brings in Oracle, RCA, Acorn and News Corp to reserve positions. The rest of the industrial world waits to see which side to join.

The two LG Generals contemplate the unification of their leadership by "removing" the outsider. The ZE General pleads, "Please reconsider. My troops, reserves and financial backers have been under my leadership for many decades. They will follow me into battle wherever I lead them. Replace me if you must but give our troops a very strong and competent leader; one who will work well with you and also have the best interests of my troops and all my financial backers in mind".

The LG Generals retort, "How can we win the war carrying two flags?"

The ZE General steps up and states, "We need to protect all fronts. With your superiority in the East and ours in the Western hemisphere, we will win many wars. We both can send in troops and superior weapons to assist each other. We're very much stretched thin, however, in the battlegrounds of Europe and Africa and in even many fronts on our own territories. If you take away my leadership and step over my partners, no other forces will likely join our campaign."

The ZE General continues, "We may need to add front-line troops in Europe and other areas. Why not add General "Siemens" to our command? He has additional technology and financial resources which we need."

The LG Generals agree.
